What does the Clubhouse App Have in Common with Breaking Bad's Blue Sky?

That is the question being asked all across social media RIGHT NOW!
The new (ok, not THAT NEW, its initial release date was in April of 2020) app is on fire. And it is addicting!
Elon Musk pops in! Mr Beast…yeah, he is in Clubhouse a lot. Heck, just today former Olympic US Diver Greg Louganis was leading a room. Want to talk Bitcoin? Former MLB pitcher CJ Wilson is on Clubhouse pretty much daily doing exactly that! Mark Cuban pops in now and then. And the list goes on…and on…and on.
And these are intimate chats….informative…funny…really anything and everything.
Now, I mentioned addicting…and I mean it. Walter & Jesse’s Blue Stuff level addicting. If the room is scheduled to go for 30 minutes…figure between 60 & 90 minimum!
Currently it is INVITE-ONLY, which undoubtedly is part of the appeal. Exclusivity, or a resonable facismile of some such thing is all the rage….I mean FOMO is real. And, sorry Android-peeps, at least for now it is iPhone only.
Paul Davison, Rohan Seth & the rest of the Clubhouse leadership are in the app a lot, and they hold weekly Town Halls that are insanely popular! In them they have mentioned often that they are hoping to open it to all you Samsungian Android users soon…How Soon is Now? Ask Morrissey!
So, is it all hype or do you want err need an invite?
Well, thats for you to decide but…
Today…my experience…one room…30 minutes.
A group of 4 influencers were leading a room. Emily Leahy (@emilyleahy on CH), Judi Fox (@judifoxrocks on CH), Dana, pronounced Donna, Bowling (@thisisdanabowling on CH) & Matthew Byrd (@matthewbyrd on CH) were leading a discussion on which social media platforms are best for you and your specific niche. I found it an excellent conversation. I’ve been a fan/consumer of Judi Fox content for sometime now, she is using LinkedIn in ways that are brilliant!
Anyway, after taking some notes and getting some ideas for me, they asked if anyone wanted to ask any questions. So, I hit the “Raise Your Hand” button and poof, one of the moderators brought me up “on stage.”
I asked my questions, got great feedback ideas, sent messages on Instagram to 3 of the 4 leading the discussion, and connected with all 3 of them.
I got actionable info and ideas, made 3 new high level connections, and even set the stage for booking one of them on to one of my weekly livestreams on my YouTube Channel (www.youtube.com/dolewhipdad, subscribers rock!)
(What does setting the stage mean? She said yes, we just have to set the date!)
Everyone’s experience will differ of course but I’ll tell you this, this app is not going anywhere!
I love it….and those on it can’t seem to log off the app!
